Why Linear?
Why Polycarbonate Beats Foam & Rubber
Foam and rubber blocks compress under pressure, masking imperfections you'll only see after paint. Linear's CNC-machined polycarbonate base is harder than the surface you're sanding — it maps every high and low with 100% accuracy.
"Most blocks will absolutely lie to you — they'll tell you it's straight but it's really not. With Linear blocks, I promise you they will not lie to you." — Ryan Evans, Count's Kustoms
Patented Vertebrae Design
Precision-cut rings along the polycarbonate spine control flex and distribute pressure evenly across the entire sanding surface. All edges are routed and radiused — no sharp corners to gouge your work. Place your hands anywhere on the block and pressure transfers uniformly to the base.
Faster Results, Less Effort
Use light pressure — three fingers, let the block do the work. The rigid base cuts efficiently without the brute force required by old-school blocks.
"You're actually doing it twice as fast but not putting in nearly the effort. It makes the job easier, faster, and a thousand times better." — Ryan Evans, Count's Kustoms
Rigid vs Flex vs Ultra Flex — Quick Guide
Rigid: Flat panels only — hoods, roofs, deck lids. Also great for rough-cutting body filler.
Flex: The everyday workhorse. Follows gentle curves while keeping a true surface. The 18" flex is the most used block on any car.
Ultra Flex: Compound curves, rolled fenders, dramatic body lines. Longer blocks = more flex. The 32" wraps fenders that no other block can follow.

How to Clean Your Linear Blocks
A quick clean extends the life of your blocks and keeps them cutting flat.
I stated my project with 800 on the 18” flex block. I felt that the paper wasn’t as aggressive as some other 800 sheets that I’ve used in the past. I was disappointed that the paper leaves behind sticky residue as well which means the block has to be cleaned every time. Overall, the paper performs well, the blocks are amazing and make a huge difference in the bodywork as well as the wet sanding process.
I have been in restoration 20 plus years, I have used a lot of different brands of papers, wet and dry. Having a sticky backed wet type paper is great and this paper does work but only sticks to a hard surface type block, which I use for straight blocking but It will not stick to different foam blocks no matter how hard I try to make it. If I leave this paper on a hard block overnight it leaves glue all over my block. Lesson what not to do. Overall paper is decent, it doesn’t perform as well as another leading brand but that brand doesn’t offer sticky back so try to work on glue.
Much needed product idea but the paper loads up fairly quick so must be changed often, I can deal with that but each change the block has excessive adhesive left behind and must be cleaned so very time consuming. I tried wetting the block and paper before applying it and that helped slightly…..
