These blocks will save you time and money but mine are showing signs of cracking after less than a year not sure what is causing this.
34 years of resto work and I have never had a block set like this! Many years ago we would make specialty blocks out of wood or whatever, then the long foam blocks were the go to, even tried these other plastic type material that you would somehow drop and they would crack or shatter...well so far so good with the linear blocks incredible difference. I even put a quarter panel that was pretty close to the test, guide coat and foam with 150 and it looked ok, well until I hit with guide coat ant the linear with 180...man I couldn't believe it!! Well done Linear block,well done
I've now had these for about 2 months and they have truly been a blessing to this new adventure I've begun. I was using other blocking tools and just didn't like the way they fit and the comfort using them. This "labor saving set" was the right choice for me to test them, see if they were different, and to give the product a fair test. I'm restoring a 73 Challenger and a 72 Bronco at this time and these blocks have definitely saved me some time. Thanks and keep thinking outside the box...
My new linear blocking tools came in two weeks ago. We put them to the test the day they arrived on a LS-6 Chevelle with tons of crazy muscle bulges and the lines have blocked out perfectly can't for final paint.
